Every now and then, I accidentally put in the wrong URL address when I link to one of the blogs. I realize this when I receive the Saturday morning weekly round-up email. I click on the link and get the dreaded 404 error code—page not found.
Grrr! It makes me so frustrated! One such morning, I was complaining about my mistake, and my hubby tried to help…
“You can fix it,” he consoled. “No, I can’t! The email has already gone out!” I moaned.
Not So…
As I chastised myself for not being careful enough, my hubby said, “Yep. I’m not so mommy… I’m not perfect.” And I smiled. I took a breath, forgave myself for being human, and realized that my followers would probably forgive me for this minor annoyance, too.
Isn’t that a lesson that we all have to learn? (And some of us, like me, have to learn it over and over and over….) We are all not so… Not so perfect. Not so organized. Not so focused. Not so calm. Not so with it. Simply not so…. (Or perhaps I am just describing myself?!)
Stuff Happens…
But seriously. Things happen. Mistakes are made. Fingers slip. Details are missed. It’s annoying. But it’s not the end of the world. It’s just a simple error.
Before we start beating ourselves up, we need to remember that. We are only human, and we are doing the best we can.
But imperfections of life happen… We make mistakes. We get frustrated. We complain.
Our Someones…
If we are lucky, we have someone (or hopefully many someones) to make us smile when these errors, mistakes, annoyances happen. They encourage us to move on, remind us that we are not so…
I’d like to be a part of your someones–to make you smile and encourage you on your journey. If you’d like that too, then join the community! Sign up to receive weekly round-up emails every Saturday morning. I promise I’ll try to link to the right URL… ?
