I am becoming more and more grateful to live in the age of technology. The power of social media has connected me with another incredible woman! Tamra, creator of Chronicles of a Bleep Year Old Woman, sent me a DM on Instagram. It took me a bit to get back with her. But a few weeks later, we had a lovely zoom chat. (I adore Zoom. It’s so nice to be able to see the person with whom you are talking!) Tamra is delightful, funny, and real. And I thoroughly enjoyed our half-hour chat.

I want to introduce you to Tamra because she is working on an amazing venture! Tamra wants to produce a humorous series about being a single, childless, bleep-year-old woman. And it is fabulous!
Why is Chronicles of a Bleep Year Old Woman FABULOUS?!
Reason #1: Laugh out loud hilarious!
I watched the trailer for Chronicles of a Bleep Year Old Woman (which you can view here), plus got the privilege of viewing the Pilot episode. Being an extremely serious person, I don’t smile much. And making me laugh out loud… Well, it doesn’t happen all that often. But Chronicles of a Bleep Year Old Woman had me smiling and laughing! It also had me thinking…
Reason #2: Redefining how we talk about “not-moms”
Of course, Tamra hopes her series will make people laugh. But, her ultimate goal is to bring to light stereotypes which surround women, including the topic of being childless / childfree. She wants to redefine how we talk about things like age and having kids, showing that there are no limits to what we, as women of any age, can do.
Reason #3: Difficult truths shared in an authentic way
Because some tough subjects will be highlighted, this series won’t be trigger-free. But we can’t truly expose the reality of serious problems without speaking candidly and facing the triggers. After speaking with Tamra, however, I know that she will share these difficult truths in a genuine and authentic way. She really is quite caring.
I adore Tamra’s message that we can live a beautiful life even if it didn’t turn out the way we expected. (Sounds quite like Not So Mommy…, doesn’t it?!) And I love that Chronicles of a Bleep Year Old Woman is “for women, by women.”
